I will continue with my favourite thing - tearing, distressing and making things look mucky and old! (Take a look at me in the mirror and you will see something similar!!!)

The CSD blog will today host a challenge about "How fake we can be". It is not about boob-jobs or tummy tucks (I wish!!) but about how to use faux techniques!
Head over there to check the challenge and the prizes out!!!

Ok, here I have gone to town on the distressing technique - something that I love to do!

1. I have torn edges, wrinkled the paper and going over it with Distress inkpads to make it look much older than it really is.
2. I have distressed the actual photo by scraping around the edges on the actual picture to give it a bit more "worn" look.
3. The picture itself has been modifed by Karin - a scrapping friend in Sweden. The colours make the picture look a bit older. (For all you iPhones people out there - try the hipstamatic app and get lovely old looking photos!!)

Material list:

Bazzill kraft cardstock
Pappern paper from Tim Holtz paper pad
Bird cage stamp from Tim Holtz
Several different Distress Inkpads and foams to use for distress technique
Flowers, turquise letters and metal stud swirls from Prima Marketing
Thickers from American Crafts for the word "Jeanette
Tissue tape from Tim Holtz
Lace and buttons from the never-ending-stash of mine :)

Tata for now lovveys!! :)

Xmas in July - really??

Ok, I'm just teasing. There is NOT going to be any xmas in July
(Don't worry Tettiz - you can keep The Grinch at bay for another few months!)

However, Lynnette over at Candy Shoppe Designs came up with this fab challenge. It is all about the lists. I love lists. I have lists for everything, and anything! To-do-lists are my personal theraoy, I make them to organise my thoughts and my head! But I won't bore you to tears with one of those, I give you a little list of what I love with my best friend Tettiz' daughter.

Material list:
Papers from MyMindsEye
Ribbons from a kit
Letters from American Crafts (Thickers) and some other unknown company
Rubons from October Afternoon
Used Tim Holtz mini fastener to fasten the ribbon.

Head over to the CSD blog yourself and read more about the challenge!

Candy Shoppe is all about the Red Hot & Blue...

Over at the CandyShoppe Designblog - you know the place to hang on the internet - we are doing a fab challenge. Look at the sketch, look at the colour scheme and go all crazy with creativity.

This is what I did with it. I had a perfect picture of Kajsa, when she is wearing the Coolest T-shirt in the world (of course given to her by her Autie Annika a.k.a. crazy metal chick...).

Material list:

Papers from October Afternoon
Flowers and bling from Prima Marketing
Chipboard Letters and swirls from Pink Paislee
Mini alpha stickers from Adorn-it
Journaling tag from "The Secret Stash" i.e. my embellishment/decorations box full of stuff!

These papers from Scribble Scrabble was sent to me from Brunkullan. The papers are completely my thing, a bit grungy and a bit ruffled in the colours. I chose to make a layout with a picture from our wedding. The picture itself is quite powerful so I didn't want to have too much stuff on the layout, but make it a bit simpler and cleaner, and let the photo come out!

Cardstock from Bazzill
Patterned paper from Scribble Scrabble
Flowers and leaves from Prima marketing mm.
Sequin centres Prima
Prima Swirl
Bling from Prima and Kaiser Craft
Journaling tickets from Tim Holtz
Minialphasticker Making Memories
Thickers American Crafts

All of our wedding pictures are shot by either Petra Hall or Zoe Richards - two amazingly talented photographers!

Tata for now!

Brunismammornas fina paket!

A Happy birthday card...

....for a lady who LOVES pink!
She is actually worse than I am in liking pink :) (however that is possible!!)

I don't remeber the make of the papers, but the stamp is a Greeting Farm Anya which can be bought at Stampeezee (Debbie has tons of lovely TGF stamps!!) which I coloured using Copic markers.

Thanks for looking! :)

The most beautiful thing in the world...

...and my love and joy is my "niece" Kajsa. Everytime I get a new photo or video of her I just want to go home, and get a job and a house close to Tettiz&David&Mallan and Kajsa, so that I can be part of Kajsa's life as she grows up. Luckily Adam thinks the same thing, and we hope that we can go back to Sweden, in a not too far future!

This layout I made as part of a challenge at a cybercrop in Sweden:

Material list:
Bazzill CS
Patterned paper, turquise letters & flowers from Prima Marketing
Tickets from Tim Holtz
Pearls from Kaiser Crafts
Pink letters from American Crafts Thickers
White Pen and my own handwriting

Tata for now, stay tuned for more scrapping jummyness!!

Someone is a bit tired....

....after having been out ALL NIGHT...

You see, I'm a bit fuzzy about my furry babies. They are allowed to be outside, but only when we are home, and they have to come in for the night. However, yesterday the little one, also known as the Rascal or the Teenager, decided he didn't want to come in. When it was 11.30 in the evening Adam gave up and left him outside.

This morning he ambles in, eats his own body weight in food, and has been in our bed ever since, sleeping... But hey, he probablly had a good time!

Another layout...

...for you to oogle!

I made this layout when I was at a scrapbooking crop in Kolbäck - The Place when it comes to crops in Sweden!

It was for a challenge at the crop and I actually won!!! *doing the happy happy dance*
The text says "Madam Butterfly", which is just a title that is connecting to all the butterflies and the wind in the veil.

Material list:
Cardstock Bazzill
Patterned paper from Basic Grey (Origins)
Flowers from Prima Marketing and some unknown place
Butterflies from using Martha Stewart punches (my new addiction...)
Letters from using QK Washington (Thanks Trollmor!) and mini stickers.
The letters and butterflies are glittered by some Stickles (Platinum)

That's it for now - stay tuned!!

For my swedish readers....

....I have a new blog that you might be interested in.
I have realised that sitting inside, and letting my bum get bigger, is not the key to everything. So for the past 4,5 weeks I have been keeping my exercise going and have enrolled in a jogging/running program.

I have also found a large number of blogs online, where people write about their running, and their goals and thoughts. I thought I would join them, and do the same, and blog about my exercise and how to loose those last kilograms that annoy me ;)

Welcome in!

Summer is here!

My godness what a DAY!!
The sun is shining, the temperature is around 25°C and all I want to do is get a tan!

Me and Adam have been out doing a walk this morning, along the locks around Hatton and the surroundings. We did approximately 5km, and had a short pit-stop for ice cream - hey it is allowed if you have done the walking before!!

A few pictures form the walk, only took a few pictures, was fully busy making sure my iPhone was recording the lenght of the walk :D

Now I think I am aiming to get a bit more relaxing done before this weekend is at end.
Really looking forward to a long weekend next weekend!

By the way, don't forget to click your way into Stampeezee and have a look at all the new stuff in the shop! Lots of goodies have arrived! Also, make sure you sign up for the workshops that are going on - call Debbie and she will sort it for you!

Tataaaa for now!

I know....

... I know! I haven't been blogging for quite some time! I think the thing called "life" happened or something ;)

Anyway, it has been an interesting spring, with exams, elective placement in Sweden, lots of scrapping time in Sweden, and now back to England and the senior rotation. On top of that there is workshops at Stampeezee, studying and spending time with husband and the puttycats! I have also restarted my jogging scheme and have a bit of a goal to work for, however I will tell you about that later...!

But like I said - I did do quite a bit of things when I was in Sweden, and I will now try to show you as much fo that as possible *digging in my big blogging-folder full of pictures*

First out is this layout...

I used a lot of things from Prima, and it is a picture taken last fall, at Tettiz's house. Even though the picture isn't perfect in the way that me and Kajsa are not actually looking at Tettiz, who took the picture, I still love the feeling in it!

Thanks for watching folks, I will be blogging more now - promise! :)

Candy Shoppe Designs First Challenge for 2010!!

Ok - if you haven't been over to the CandyShoppeDeisgn blog yet, you are soooo having to go there NOW!

There has been some changes to the design team over there, and there is SO much talent that I always feel in awe, and being so grateful, I get to be one of them as well! I would also like to THANK all the ladies that was there for the first season, and that has now moved on to other projects or DTs! Thanks for all the inspiration and good laughs! And Lynnette - You know I love ya girl!

The first challenge for the year was as follows:
To our very 1st challenge of the New Year. The theme of this challenge is "I" and you are to interpret that however you wish.

My take on the challenge was this:

The text reads:
"After having had a long year full of challenges, hard work, personal achievements, and difficulties I have realised I need to be a bit nicer to ME! If I don't take care of me, noone will thank me, or do it for me! I need to give myself a bit of cred for all the things I do and achieve. My only new years resolution is to take care of ME for once!"

The colours are a bit crap as usual around this time of the year.... *sighs* If anyone have any good tips about how to shot proper photos in the winter time, feel free to educate me!

Ok, if you head over to the blog and start thinking about how YOU want to do this challenge, you can also go and check our sponsor out!!

The lovely lovely Lisa from BlueMoonScrapbooking has yet again amazed us with a wonderful kit for the winner! I am sooo jeallous I can't enter the challenge to win that prize, because that store is FULL of goodies I tell you! Look at all those Tim Holtz goodies.... *drooooling*

Happy New Year 2010!!

Ok, as usual I neglect this blog and then feel so bad about it I have to make up for it by posting lots instead :) All or nothing baby, all or nothing....

Anyhow... It was a tough autumn, with a lot of work, a lot of stress and generally running around like a headless chicken. I did a medical block that I found interesting, but not for me, which meant it took a bit out of me. December FLEW by, and finished with a swenglish christmas at our house (and at the parents-in-laws' house!) with tons of food, candy, presents etc. After that a dear friend of ours came an visited and we had a fairly relaxing week.

I am now back in the hospital - last block before my midexams (!?!?!GAAAAAAAH?!??!) so I think the blog will unfortunately be rather sparsely updated up until then! I will still try though! :)

Ok, that is it for now - I will be back very shortly with some words about the lovely Lollipop Ladies and some challenges for you!
